Reggae Strong COVID Safety Plan

General:

This document was created in consultation with The City of Toronto’s COVID-19 Guidance: Indoor & Outdoor Events last updated on August 24, 2021 at 1:55 p.m.

  • All activities take place outdoors, in open air.

  • Capacity not to exceed 448 people (50% of full capacity) at any time. 

  • Signage will be posted at the door with the stated capacity.

  • Copies of the safety plan will be printed for guests or officials to review on request.

  • The site is fenced in to naturally create easier management of patron counts.

  • Staff and security guards will be onsite to manage flow of patrons and ensure COVID safety measures are adhered to.

  • All enforcement will take a friendly, harm reduction approach.

Guests:

PRE-EVENT:

  • All guests will have purchased a ticket through the online platform capturing their contact tracing information, or have their information recorded manually at the door. 

ONSITE SAFETY:

  • All guests will complete a COVID self-screening before entering the event.

  • Masks to be worn in line to enter the event, for concessions, and while using washrooms and hand-wash stations.

  • Chalk will be used to create physical distaning markings in entry line-up and in front of bar and food vendors.

  • High touch surfaces will be disinfected throughout the day (tables, chairs, washrooms, doors).

  • All screens used for payments will be disinfected throughout the day.

  • Signage to remind guests to only sit with their own household in seated areas.

  • Door staff and security will keep track of the number of guests inside and ensure all patrons are properly registered.

  • Staff will monitor lines and dance floor area to ensure patrons are keeping  a minimum of 6 feet distance. 

  • One way traffic arrows in washroom area

Performers:

PRE-EVENT COMMUNICATIONS:

  • All performers and team will fill-out a COVID questionnaire by email before arriving onsite.

ONSITE SAFETY:

  • Masks to be worn in washrooms and all indoor spaces

  • Backstage area will have an attendant regularly disinfecting tables and furniture

  • There will be a two metre space between the performers and guests

Staff/Volunteers/Vendors/Sponsors:

  • All staff will be asked to complete a COVID questionnaire by email before arriving onsite.

ONSITE SAFETY:

  • Masks to be worn by all staff and volunteers at all times unless on a break or eating and drinking.
